We have been busy and still getting into the swing of school around here… Mary Dalton‘s quarantine started us back at Ground Zero. Here is what we have been up to lately…
It’s almost fall so that means Uncle Rhett is here a good bit! He told Mary Dalton how to make his famous Ramen noodle soup.
Teaching Jackson is never boring! He found a dolly and carted Annie all over the school on it
90% of the time these to show up in our room around 930 or 10 when we get in bed. They have no idea how much I cherish this time. Sometimes I can barely hold my eyes open but I love that they love each other and that they come and talk to us before they go to bed.
Mary Dalton has taken advantage of her junior privilege of eating lunch outside at school… This is when we had so much Covid and she was determined to stay away from everybody.
Shotgun team has started and thankfully we do not have as many matches as we did last year. There are actually just one a month.
Jackson was disappointed that Bean’s was not shooting this year but he got paired with Jackson and Fletcher and Christopher and has enjoyed getting to know them.
SHINE the dog was at school and Jackson and brooklyn were his helpers for the morning. That poor soul…
I took Jackson’s advanced placement environmental science class to finish the swamp last week. There are only seven of them and we had the best time!
Mary Dalton was chosen as student of the month for August. She was super excited and we are so proud of her!
I celebrated my 43rd birthday last week. I remember being a teenager and thinking how old a 43-year-old was… My how times have changed. I share a birthday with one of my students and he sent me flowers to school. It absolutely made my day!
I flew out on my birthday and headed to Pensacola to meet up with some of my sweet friends from high school. When we arrived at the condo in Orange Beach, the girls had a little surprise party for me! Definitely made me feel loved!
We have been friends for over 40 years. We have not been together in 25 years and we picked up right where we left off. We had the best time catching up and we laughed until we literally could not breathe.
Back at home, dove season came in and my boys were so excited!
This is Dalton‘s favorite time of the year! Hunting, college football, and cooler weather. We have a fun trip coming up later this month and the kids have some fun things planned too! I am so thankful that we are all healthy and able to do fun things again!
