Halloween Weekend Recap

Halloween is one of Mary Dalton‘s favorite days of the whole year! She had several activities to dress up for this year and she was so excited! Her small group at church dressed up as cereal characters. She was Froot Loops and luckily one of my former students had this costume!

We did not carve pumpkins at home this year… I think this is the first year we ever missed but it really snuck up on me! Mary Dalton did carve a pumpkin with her buddy  at school.

We dressed up for school on Friday. Jackson was a convict, I was a hippie and Mary Dalton was a 2000s girl.

We had our last regular season home football game and the weather was perfect!

We won the region game! This was a huge win for our team!

On Saturday night, we hosted a surprise birthday party for Natalie. I sort of dropped the ball on the costume so we had to make do with some thing we had, but our friends killed the costumes!

I am so thankful for these ladies!

Mary Dalton and Jackson went to a Halloween party on Saturday night and then on Sunday we gave out candy at the law office

We always look forward to a visit from the Brock kids!

Collins Kate screamed last year when Cameron held her and this year was no different. She is not a fan of Cam! We crack up at her because he is just a big kid himself but she is terrified of him!

But she loves MD!

Wyatt Earp was one of our favorite costumes this year

A few of their friends dropped by and we wrapped up the night.

And then this happened…

I have started decorating for Christmas! I have a friend who is helping me this year, so I’m so excited to have help!!! I can’t wait to see how beautiful she makes everything! I am probably the only mother who enjoys the holidays with teenagers more than little children. I just feel like when kids are a little there’s so much pressure to make everything magical and with teenagers it’s just so much more laid-back. I am so excited about celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with my sweet family.
