Star Wars = Bed Time Wars

MTV played a marathon of all the Star Wars movies this weekend. Dalton is HUGE fan and I cannot stand the mess...he took me to the movies to see one once...I would have rather given birth...it was HORRIBLE...SO SO SO DUMB. Anyway, he was watching this weekend and decided that Jackson would enjoy it. I questioned him about the violence, scary scenes, etc. and was reminded that he LOVES The Wizard of Oz and that is scarier than Star Wars. Now remember, I have never watched an entire movie...I attended, but have no clue what happened.

I told DDD not to say a word if he had bad dreams...guess what? HE DID! Last night, around midnight, I hear little feet.
AD:"What is wrong? Why are you out of your bed?"
JD: "I so frighting." (that is his big word)
AD: "Of what?"
JD:"Aliens"

It still did not dawn on me he was thinking about Star Wars...I just let him lay at the foot of the bed and went back to sleep. I woke up again at 2:00 a.m. and he was still awake. When I started talking, DDD woke up.
AD "Why are you up?"
JD: "I 'wooking for aliens."
AD: "There are no aliens. Go to sleep."
JD: "Yes there are Mommy. They are at a galaxy far, far away...and there is a DARK GATOR too. I so so scared."

I raised up out of bed and looked at Dalton who replied,"Yeah, I think he may be talking about the dark side."

Lovely. He was scared of shadows, now it is aliens.

Jackson got into some ants yesterday and my first instinct was to dip him in the pool and we happened to be in the deep. I think this upset him more than the bites. I calmed him down and told him he was going to have to walk inside so I could put medicine on his foot. I got him on the counter and through his tears he says,"I have the best family in the whole wide world. Thank you and God bless." I fell out laughing...we don't say "God bless" not even in his prayers...not sure where he got that one from! :-)

Much to Mary Dalton's dismay, I will be going to get here tomorrow from the coast. She has been gone 8 days and we are more than ready for her to come home! She quickly told me earlier that she was NOT ready to come home. Hopefully, we will be able to go to the coast as a family in the next week or two~

Enjoy the day!
