Fun, fun, fun!

Summer is well underway at our house and we have been busy!

Saturday, we went to the Buzzard Blast (small festival/fundraiser)in Louisville. The kids enjoyed the bands and snowcones! Jackson won a potato gun at pick up ducks and I have had a blast with that thing! ;-) Later, Dalton and I went to Augusta and bought some more things for our house. We FINALLY sold our old one, after almost 11 months on the market. The kids swam that night and then were OUT like babies!

Sunday we went to church, and then again, the kids slept from 1 until 5 when it was time for MD's Team Kid party...then back to our house at 7:00 for more swimming!

Today, I started teaching summer school. I only teach a few hours a few days a week and the child comes to my house, so it is a really easy load. When I was done, Dalton came home and ate with us, then to the pool we went again! We swam about 1 1/2 hours and the kids are out again! We are going fishing tonight! I LOVE summer! I love being outside and having the flexibility to do whatever we want! In the morning, we are going to Jump City and then to the mall for lunch. Then after lunch, I am getting a MUCH needed pedicure and haircut!

Swimming is going AWESOME for Mary Dalton! She was able to swim last summer, but really is confident now. I am SO proud of her! She swims everywhere like a fish! She will jump off the side in the deep alone, get a breath and swim across the pool...she will only do the diving board if someone is in the water to "catch" her.

Jackson on the other hand...leaves much to be desired! He is fine and dandy as long as his floaties are on! I JUST talked him into swimming without his ring. Up until yesterday, he would swim with his ring and floaties...he could not even swim he had so much gear! Today, I made him take his floaties off and I worked with him...yall probably heard him screaming at your house! :) I told him I was going to put him under on the count of three...here's how it went:
AD: When I count to 3, I am going to dunk you under. I will not let go, but you have to learn to do this.

JD: Let's talk about some other options.

AD: No. One.

JD:PLEASE! PLEASE!!! (SCREAMSSSSS!!!!)

AD: TWO.

JD: NO! NO! NO!

AD: Three. Close your mouth or you are going to choke.

*Jd shuts mouth and I dunk him quickly. As he comes up, he looks at my like I am crazy, splashes me and starts screaming...again!

AD: Yeah! You did it! I am so proud!

JD: No I did not! You did it to me! You women quit messing with me or I am gonna call my Daddy.

Me and MD were laughing so hard! He is a MESS! He is Dalton made over! The things he says keep me in stitches!

Enjoy the day!
