Today, I found their report cards ~ This was Jackson's...notice the big N in talks at appropiate times....*sigh* what can I say???? He gets it honest! ;) Hey, at least he had all S's by the end of the year! :)
The 2nd side of his report card ~ All S's by the end! :) I hope he keeps it up in K4! He is so much more eager to figure things out and learn than MD is. She is smart as she can be, but really has not much interest in school. She doesn't "get" why she has to go....she says she knows what they are teaching, so why waste her time? Oh Mary D! You have got a ways to go! ;)
Mary D's report card ~ Notice she missed 18 days! HOLY COW! We have GOT to do better this year! I let her miss all the time last year and go off with Suz ~ plus she was sick a good bit! Glad we aren't in public school....they'd have me turned in! :P LOL
She did great too ~ Never did master writing her name in D'Nealian ~which is almost cursive writing and very hard to master! Not to mention, I think she inherited Dalton's handwriting skills!
2nd side of her report card ~ She mastered it all! :) Some of the stuff they did was pretty advanced (remember, I am an elementary teacher) ~ symmetry, counting money, adding and subtracting, reading, adding money, telling time, etc. I am so thankful she was challenged and learned so much! She is reading EVERYTHING she sees....which can be a bad thing! She now knows Mcdonald's is not out of ice cream anymore....she can read the sign! She can read the menu on the TV to find her "shows" ~ she is too cute about it! ;)
Some of my favorite art pieces ~ This was MD's from the first few weeks of school ~ the 4 seasons. I love her little drawings/colorings.
Jackson's project with "Doughnuts with Dad" ~ I did this with my kids when I taught preschool and shared it with Roxanne. I LOVE this! I did Mary Dalton's feet in Dalton's shoe cut outs when she was 10 months....so sweet!

I use Fonts4Teachers. It helped my twin boys improve their cursive, d'nealing penmanship greatly. I think you can find them at
http://www.fonts4teachers.com
Problems with handwriting will go away.
Thanks! I will check into that! :)
