I am a weeee bit tired. I have been sick for 8 days straight...taught all day, cooked supper, did at least 15 loads of laundry, read/listened to countless AR books, sold magazines for the PTO, dealt with sick Jackson most of the week, hauled kids to and from the dr, etc. SO ~ we went to the cabin for some R&R.
Last night was so wonderful. We ate the BEST steak and baked potato! This morning, we had country ham and huge biscuits....so yummy! I took Jackson to get his 2nd round of shots today. That was AWFUL. When we pulled in (he had no idea we were going) he told me I told him a story and I was the worst mommy ever. :( Made me soooo sad! Anyway, he survived and I did, too!
We went back to the cabin and Dalton & I made a HUGE platter of nachos for lunch. This afternoon we watched The Last Song...so relaxing! We had the hardest time staying awake bc JD was up 4 times last night and MDD had bad dreams and she was up 3 times. So, on an average, we went to bed at 11 and MDD woke up at SIX so, we were up once every hour! ((yawn)) ~ I would also like to go on record that I LOVE a newborn BUT I DO NOT MISS GETTING UP DURING THE NIGHT!
I was sooooo looking forward to a hot bath and getting into my bed, but by the time we got home tonight, MDD has declared she has a sore throat AGAIN. I looked at it...and it looks pretty bad....again. We were referred to have her tonsils out but the dr did not think she needed them out. I am not so sure I agree. I have given her some tylenol and some benadryl (Thank you Lord for Benadryl) and she is quiet at the moment. Poor JD was SO sick this week, but if you know MD you know she may be the WORST patient EVER! I am praying so hard that she is able to sleep and in the morning feels better! I pray that she is not getting whatever I had....I felt awful and it lasted FOREVER ~ I am still not 100%!
On a brighter note, I have girl's night out on Wed ~ if I make it til then ~ and I CAN NOT WAIT! My girls can always make me feel better! :)
Once again...praying that we will all be WELL!
