While we were in MS, we made a trip to the mall. Mary Dalton LOVES Claries and really has been wanting her ears pierced, but was scared. Regan had gotten hers done in February for her birthday, so she REALLY wanted Mary Dalton to do it, too!
We talked about it for a day or two and the night before we left, she decided she was ready! Jackson and Nana went to the Indian Village while the girls went to get the earrings! :)
While we were there (earrings were open and guns were loaded!) a lady gets caught shoplifting. We witnessed the WHOLE 9 yards ~ from her lying saying she didn't know how the $1 headband got in her bag, to saying she forgot to pay for it, to being locked in handcuffs and taken to jail. While it was a great teaching/learning experience for the kids....mdd had to wait 20 mins to get her ears done! She was VERY brave and got teary once, but never cried.
She did however almost throw up! Wouldn't that have been lovely!!! Thankfully she got her nerves under control, the 2 employees finsished the police report and pierced them at the same time! She was BEYOND PROUD!!!!

We didn't tell Daddy and she surprised him when we got home! She looks SO growny!!! I know it will be even worse when she gets her braces next month!!! No baby or little girl here!!!
When we got back to Nana's Jackson was super proud of her! He made her a poster that said GOOD JOB!!! I asked him what he would have done if she didn't get them pierced...he said
"Oh, I would have saved it until she did SOMETHING good!"
She googled earrings ALL day Saturday and watched a video on ear care...she is INTO this!!! ;)
She wants to clean them by herself...she said she wasn't scared it would hurt, but scared it would get infected.
We were at lunch and she grabbed her ears covering them and said,
"I GOTTA CLEAN MY EARS! THIS IS NOT A SAFE ENVIRONMENT!"
If she even *thinks* about breaking a sweat, she is cleaning them! She may have the cleanest ears this side of the MS! :)
It was a fun, special day to say the least!!!

After a trip to the Natchez Mall, cleaning her ears may be a very smart move! ;-)
