That's All Folks......

Summer is officially OVER!!! Backpacks are packed and the clock is set! Ready or not....it's time for school to start!!!

 

But, we sure did enjoy EVERY last second!!!

Friday night, I had Open House and left Dalton with our kids plus Marti Ann ~

I came home and the girls were in fancy dresses and had dESTROYED the kitchen making Easy Bake...unsupervised! They said, "Daddy is the BEST sitter ever!" Needless to say, they had a HUGE mess to clean up...but they did a great job!

We enjoyed some night swimming!!!

Until the bats came out!!!

Saturday morning, we hit the pool again!!!

That afternoon, we went to Jackson's friend's birthday party ~

She had a skating party and the kids had a blast!!!

Sunday morning, I got up early and ATTEMPTED to make strawberry biscuits...my sister SWORE that they were SO GOOD and SO EASY!?!?! ummm....negative.

They were hard as bricks and looked like cookies...

hanging up my "baking" hat again...

I messed up the clean kitchen for nothing!

I threw them away and went to McDonalds!

Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed some more pool time! Sallie Ann came to visit and swim! We are so happy to have a break in the rain!

Jackson found a huge toad...he was super proud of his latest pet! ;)

It was a perfect day with my two favorite little people!

And then...my favorite big person cooked us supper at the cabin!

We had fried salt water trout, hush puppies, fries and okra...a heart attack on a plate, but it was HEAVENLY!!!

It was the perfect time to start watching SHARK WEEK!!! Our kids LOVE Shark Week!!! We have recorded so many shows to watch each night before bed...just hope no one has bad dreams!!!

Summer 2013 was a fun one for sure!  A Disney Cruise, a trip to NYC, 2 weeks in MS, a new cousin, learning to dive and flip off the diving board, lots of swimming, a new four wheeler, 100's of snowcones, sleepovers, playdates and so much more!!!

I am super excited about the school year, but already thinking about next summer!!!
