Weekend Recap!

We have had a great weekend and have enjoyed the "hint" of cooler weather! Mary Dalton had a birthday party on Saturday ~ the swam and rode horses ~ she had a great time! Jackson stayed home with Dalton and I had time to go for a "real" run....an outside run without interruptions!

Saturday night, Maggie was in the neighborhood at her Mimi's so the kids were excited to have someone to play with! They had a great time riding the golf cart and playing at the tree house!
Suz and Big Daddy invited the kids and I over for supper ~ Dalton was at the cabin ~ Bow season is here so he is sticking near the farm! ;)
The kids LOVE to play on Big's jeep ~ It's a 1975 ~ They used to be able to sit on the bar...they haven't played on it in awhile, but as you can tell...that aint happening anymore!
Big Daddy and Suz cooked up an artery clogging good meal ~ fried okra and fried chicken, pesto and crackers (the kids helped Suz make the pesto) and apple slices...random combination, but delicious for sure!!!
Mary Dalton & Jax have ALWAYS been fascinated with Suz's pantry ~ they play grocery store and/or restaurant...one of them squeezes in the pantry and I had to get in on the action too ~
Raisins anyone??? ;)
(and it was pretty fun!)
This morning, we went to Sunday School and church ~ Mary Dalton is the ONLY girl in 1st-3rd grade at our church! If she isn't there...there isn't a class! Her teacher is the sweetest lady ~ Miss Mahala...she is probably in her late 70's or early 80's ~ Mary Dalton just loves her!
After church, we went to eat at Hogie Joe's ~ one of our favorite places!
Then we made a trip to Wal-Mart ~ Dalton let the kids pick out candy to put in "hallie" ~ our lifesize girlie pumpkin/scarecrow...they wanted him to take them because they said I only buy what's cheap, diet or gross....
true....

And for SOME reason, Mary Dalton is SOOOOO embarrassed about buying toilet paper! and we LOVE to add to her embarrassment!!! Dalton was making a HUGE deal about it at the check out and she was DYING! One of the perks of parenting...embarrassing your children! ;)
After Wal-Mart, we made a quick stop at Sonic for drinks then headed home!
(and I SWEAR I think I am using this as our Christmas card...it's so us...we definatley put the FUN in dysFUNctional!)
