Well… The time is going to go back to school! These past 16 days have been absolutely fabulous! I have been able to read, do several projects around the house, get organized, spend time with my family, and sleep in! It’s been wonderful!!!
I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions… But I saw this and if I had to think of a resolution this would be it.
I want to try to be more intentional. Intentional with my time. Intentional with my family. Intentional with my students. Intentional with my quiet time. Intentional with my friends. I think this will be easy to achieve with just a little extra “thought.” Tonight for example, Dalton is out of town and we went to eat Mexican. I sat at a table with just Jackson and purposely left my phone in the car. It wasn’t much it was 40 minutes of on interrupted time.
The other thing I’m really trying to do this year is once a month we are going to eat in the formal dining room and have a formal meal. I have actually done this twice in the last 16 days and all four of us I’ve been joyed it so much! I think this will be an easy thing for us to do!
In other news, one of my favorite days of Christmas break was the day that I racked up on these books! Our local bookstore is going out of business and I got 76 books for $40!!! I was able to read seven over the break and look forward to reading all of them!!
My headmaster gave me a book called The Energy Bus. I read it in about 45 minutes. It would be a great book for any teacher, leader or business owner. The basics of the book is talking about how our energy is contagious and how important it is to have a positive attitude. I took a lot of screenshots!!!
Love this!!!
I want to post these 10 rules in my classroom!
Mary Dalton was most excited about being able to see Brinson after she went to Disney. They have the best time together and are so sweet! She had a blast at Disney but she was glad to be home!!!
our break is nothing short of fabulous and we have a huge month planned! Lots of fun things are on the radar for us and we are so excited!!!
