Slowly but surely I’m catching up with Christmas post! Christmas Eve morning we were excited because my parents were arriving! We left the cabin and came home to get ready for them!
Sweet Nana.
We haven’t seen them in about five or six months so we were excited to have them here even though it’s a quick visit!
We had soup and sandwiches for lunch and enjoyed catching up with them. We were so excited because for the first time in years it was actually cold on Christmas!
My dad made Mary Dalton a beautiful heart necklace but wrapped it in a Sloan can. We were cracking up!
He also made Jackson another knife for his collection. Such sweet special gifts!
Dalton had Thursday and Friday off for Christmas and I loved having that time with him. We have been so busy we literally passed each other in the road. It was so nice to have a few days at home with everyone!
We had a traditional Christmas Eve dinner and then open presents with my family.
Since we did not all get together this year we got on a zoom call… It was quite funny trying to get all of us on there together.
It was a wonderful day well spent at home with the people I love the most. Every year it seems like we planned and planned for Christmas and then it’s here and over in a few hours. I don’t know if it’s because we were home this year or what, but I felt like we really got to enjoy a few days and not have to rush. It was not our traditional Christmas, but it was definitely one of my favorites we’ve ever had.
