Eighteen.

It’s Mary Dalton‘s golden birthday! She’s 18 on the 18th! I cannot believe that I have been her mama for 18 years. Other than her colic and reflux, she has been a dream. She is exactly what I wanted and a daughter and more.

And that little dimple… Still melts my heart.

She has such a great outlook on life. She is 100% confident in who she is and does not care what anyone thinks about her. She has the best laugh and cannot laugh without crying. She has a true love of life.

She has outstanding work ethic. She does a job until it’s done correctly, completely, and to 100% of her best ability. She never half does anything.

She loves so many people. She can literally hang out with any group and be perfectly content. Whether it be adults, the wild crowd so to speak 😉, youth group, her close friends, Jackson ‘s friends, or even strangers… She fits right in wherever she goes.

She is also hilarious. We laugh at things she says all the time. She makes our life so much fun and happy!

Obviously this was longer than six years ago… She was 17 months old in this picture and Jackson was a week old. I remember rocking her when she was a baby and a toddler and rubbing her sweet little face and wondering what she would be like when she grew up.

And now here we are… I know she still has a year of high school and obviously college as well but overall she is grown up. I am so thankful for God’s protection over her life, favor over her life and the gift he gave us in her. This is her last birthday that she will spend with us and we are going to celebrate big. I want her to know how much she was wanted and how much she is loved always.

Happy 18th birthday Mary Dalton! I know without a doubt that God has huge plans for your life and is going to bless your life and lead you in the way you should go.
You’re my all time best girl, Mare. ❤️
